Welcome to Giraffe Children’s Services, a warm, nurturing, specialist service for children and young people with complex needs based in Blackburn, Lancashire.
We provide high-quality supported residential and specialist care for children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Our home aims to be a beacon of excellence in residential childcare through high standards of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child-centred care. They are designed to feel safe, welcoming and truly homely, where every child is valued as an individual. We work closely with children, families, local authorities and professionals to help young people develop confidence, independence and life skills, while always placing their wellbeing, dignity and voice at the heart of everything we do.
